Where Can I find Templar?

Take a break from the weary gray world, and join us as we dive into life fantastic.  If only for a short while. Indulge yourself in sounds long kept under heel and hidden away, safe from public mastication

Here is a brief breakdown of each night. Try to collect them all!

The First New Necromantic in a couple of Months. This means its going to be one hell of a Night. Think of this as a divine taster for other events around the city, as Francine our hostess has gathered to her side a menagerie of the busiest DJs and promoters in our scene. Necromantic has long been a mainstay and a much beloved fixture of the NYC Goth Scene

I will be in amazing company this night with fellow Necros
Father Jeff (Ward 6, Qxts) Patrick (Salvation) Aengel (Ravenholm, Qxts)

A New Night! Yes another one! There does seem to be alot of new nights coming around. Everyone wants to be a Dj. That's good and I applaud the drive. But here is where it gets a little blurry.
The Redrum Ball consists of people who have been throwing parties for years. So this isn't something thrown together half ass.

A Great venue - check
A Great stable of Djs - check
Me as a guest - check ;)
Come out and support!

Underworld, so much to answer for! I can be held somewhat responsible for this obamanation.  3 Years of absolute abandon and good times. On a Wednesday no less (balls). Its home at the best club the scene has - The Sullivan Room! I can say so many wonderful things about the night, but bias and humility prevent me for going any further. (It Rocks)

The Only club in NYC that plays nothing but Goth music.
No Ebm, No Synthpop, No Dance pop

It's A very special Night for The Red Party. It has a New and bigger home!
Ace of Clubs!
Its where I can go and spin music alot of which have been forgotten under the heels of Vnv Nation and Wumpscut. So if you are fans of bands like Birthday Party, Alien Sex Fiends, Xymox and the Neph. Check this out. Special guest this week is DJ Jeffo plus!

The Red Party presents
'The Wild World of Siouxsie and the Banshees'
A Night of music from Siouxsie and The Banshees plus all the bands that they were connected to.
Bands like The Cure, The Creatures, The Glove, Adam and The Ants etc.
Plus the usual mix of Goth and Deathrock new and older!

Special Guest: Miz Margo!

I will have more dates added soon!

January Red Party Setlist

On A Cold Bleak NYC Night. From Across the white streaked street the vague sounds of mad genius and proto-psychopathic intentions strike the heart colder than the best of Winter's thrall. The Red Party Welcomes all with a heart for the better and a mind that knows it.

With A Gremlin infested CD Player (One FULL hour of JOY) and a missing Jarek, We pushed through and I locked myself in the booth. Fueled on Anger and Contempt I present this its offspring.

Friday Feb 18 We are at our NEW HOME!

Third Friday we will be at The Ace of Clubs. Please Keep in mind we are still an all GOTH club. I would rather drown this thrashing baby than change that . Red Party was born for one purpose only, to prove a simple point. Goth belongs in NYC Uber Alles!

Red Party News!

The Red Party Expands its dark clutches! As of February 18th we will be at Ace of Clubs!

After much debate and care, We have come to a definite conclusion. The Red Party needs to grow to accommodate more people and to challenge us as DJs and promoters.

We will be adding bands to the roster as well..of the darker variety. We would love your help in spreading the word and helping us make this party even bigger than it is.

The Red Party: Prophetic mutations through temporal unrest

Happy New Year from the Red gang. I Just wanted to take a breath and sum up all that was and look into the very near future of what will be in regards to our lil club here in NYC.
Since the beginning I wanted to start a party devoted only to Goth music, I thought it was time that NYC had what other big cities had and that was a night devoted strictly to the sounds of Goth & Deathrock.

We have been blessed with the undying support of the NYC dark scene from day 1. We do not take it for granted, but rather use it as a springboard to do bigger and better things.
From the first few years at our most beloved Orchard to the very accommodating  Aces & Eights onto Mug Lounge. We have always been amazed at the number of people who come out to play with us. We have always tried to create a place free of ego and drama. Just Drink Dance and Support a small but growing scene in our city.

January brings a new time and it will be our last party at Mug Lounge, so please come support us as we shed our skin one more time and try on something a little bit bigger.  In February we have a full on club to fuck around with. But do not fear it is still The Red Party and with that comes no compromise in the music.  I am very proud of this party and wouldn't want to screw around with a good thing!
We Do Only Goth.  Again A Big Thanks to all who come out and lend us their energy and spirit 2011 is gonna be fun. So tease your hair and dress in your best black and reds Doom Kittens!

A trick of wrists

This my weary gait shall we shuffle through
standing stagger driven  and wrecked clear
much is needed to make this work
servant or sacrifice to this end I must twist
to what wonder wretched speak, then speak

waxen and held precious a form uniformed
starved for real food and divinity
I will refuse to cast a shadow here
No more art for we are all artists now
No more God for we are all Gods now
Zenith high a Tower stands

Tinder be the thrones of old
So child bow your head and humbly blind thyself
then rise proud fool and praise the still womb
If it burns then let us sing of its ash
And we the plastic scions of Babel to this we reel

The shoulder broken and atlas dosed
Sifting through the blood of nighttime follies
to many cigarettes bring the silence that whiskey can only comprehend
So we can sink and still say we swam, for the glory of nothing
we will cast nothing into the world, yet we shall cast it all
explain for what matters most matter rots

Without kindness we sing of nothing but sound
we do not breath nor allow our self the fear of self
Zero breeds zero from the first kiss to the scalpel prime
A tower to high topples wholly and let its bones be a monument to our new age
spread wide we will all pay for the same transgressions as the first

Joy now and everyone is an artist
Joy now we are all Abortionist
And with eyes blackened by the whole
nerves like tinsel glass and a frame wrecked by humanity
let us ascend victorious on wings of invisible worth

So crash and debris obvious yet still
with tactile and fine words, what greater erections do we aspire
Grand napalm skies dried bitter to the cusp of ego
nothing sifted clean
all is mirror bleached and we are all Human now

Vomit out the life only lived inside
En masse to no mass, A temple to self sustaining guile
We will be joined at the wrist fastened by snakes
pervert our own and leave a depth so malign
focus now wanton and seized

As our ancestors sit writhing and apoplectic
We shall show no care or dwell in a state of grace
Yours will be a garden of roses, lest to outsiders a nest of wasps
Burden, no burden a lift of self to know self
Slender is the hammer until it is met.

Good Bye You Bastard!

The Bank was the most important club of my waning youth. I mean there were others don't get me wrong. There was Limelight and there was The Building. But The Bank fit me like a glove and that glove was leather and it was tight. It was at the right time and the right place. LES and proud.

I Never got to DJ at the Bank and that was lucky for me (and probably those who attended as well). Instead I got to experience the Realm or Exedor first hand.
Me and my crew would stumble in around 1am after drinking down the bar across the street (RIP Spiral) and live up the remaining hours getting even more viking like chugging down drinks by The Blue Medusa Jean and the evil bastard Gerard while dancing to The Sisters, The Cure, Depeche or yes even Fictional. Come to think of it I have heard alot of songs for the first time at The Bank. Waking up many times with that dread of 'What the hell did I do last night' that would be followed by a devilish smile. Capricious youth indeed!

What alot of people don't know are all the really good people who made it happen. They weren't the stereotypical seedy promoters. They were nerds, outcasts and British. You had the top DJS like Ian Fford, Xian, Hellraver, Father Jeff, Patrick, Ash in the Crypt! Even some angry long hair named Cyn I believe made his debut there. I bring this up because the ingredients were so fine and precious. All the same it tasted great. All that Industrial, All That EBM (wtf was EBM) and Goth (lots and lots of Goth) oh and synthpop for all you girls :)

I met alot alot of friends there. Friends who still to this day believe it or not still want to be friends with me for some reason. Also a little know factoid - I met Mandana there 12 years ago!!! So its safe to say that the bank gave and gave.

All good things come to an end, and that's fine. It allows new people room to make their own beginnings on their own turf. And that's the way it should be. So the Bank got sold, it got turned into a hip-hop club, and when that inevitably failed even a strip club. But in its near demolished heart it was made for us and us alone.

The Proof was with 2 very special and yes I will even say it 'magical' nights. These 2 reunions proved that I was not the only one with blurry fond memories. I have seen friends who moved states away come back because they were compelled. Lightning in a bottle kittens. But I never saw The Bank as something that ever went fully away. Albion(Where I stumble in) which started at The Bank, moved to Rebel and enjoyed even greater success and is a cause for even further woolgrazing and praise.

Sunday November 21st. I will with all humility be spinning some music at the final ever Bank party. The Building is being torn down, but not its memories those cant be killed. (as much as I wish some could). I really cant put emphasis on this matter. For what little scene we have here in the Great State of New York, We threw some pretty spectacular shindigs. This Party is going to be one of them.

Mad Love and Praise go to all whoever worked at The Bank, you serviced us all so well
