Wake to soon

Weep pillars weep in torrents slide
we are relegated and confined as all beauty passes slowly on
we the kingdom without kings
as mortality lingers long in the face of you
wake dearest night and through no solace or comfort pass

What trespass we and transpires must
An atheist in the house of love
seeks to gain understanding without accepting
seeks flowers in the dead solace of winter come
and we must be as we are and ask no more of God

This to betray without a touch
to hold without suffocation
so the lasting sting of embrace
bitter filthy stones
we are no longer bound

Wake to soon Awake
And all is nothing
Wake and all still is still
my morning so must come dreaded to know
A singular shot of bitter poison drunk

let this pass undetected
An age of fire quenched dry
To the bier we bring wealth heaped upon
to the sea we set adrift
A corpse light to guide to the hollows sing

What face to mare and mask to shatter
What grace we must undue unkind
to the end of this we breathe in memories
refracted through permissions and measures
It is for you the world must bleed

every moment stolen blisters to scorn
so foul to this we never had to seek
this is eclipse done and sewn
for faraway no home shall remain
it must be as we must surely be

for a lasting sometimes
where we were young
and the rest was blur and quick
All to stone we must be like others now
desperate and unkind

A wake for a promise never kept
through these we shall pass on
and our hearts shall remain dimmed
this to we will be unseen as wanting
Woken to soon
