DIGit of the Day: The Cure's Pornography

So last night I am djing to a crowd of 10 people, which was fine actually a good thing. Why is that ever a good thing ...well for leaps of faiths and the freedom to say well why the fuck not. I got to play some stuff I haven't played in forever the undancable undesirable the 'sniff' unloved.
So as me and V are trading back and forth, I decide to go into my deep dark bag of angst and I pull out Strange Days off of Pornography. As I hear the first lick of dirgy goodness I remember why this album is so important. Pornography is the celebration of bleak utter super despair, it is truly an unashamed masterpiece from the first freaking song to the very end. I am listening to it right now as I write this and celebrating my dark mood and I am enjoying it so very much, the album as well as my bad mood. If you have the album and I know you must listen to it today from first song to the last, if anyone disturbs you while it is playing - stick a fork in their crotch, they will leave you alone after that...trust me.

In conclusion Is this the best Cure album...I am gonna say yes, a hard yes but it must be said as good as faith or Disintegration or Wish is this album set the tone for the Cure as we know them.
